DAVE MUSTAINE of MEGADETH Goes To GIBSON GUITARS

After a period of public speculation, an announcement of sorts has been made related to the Dave Mustaine/Gibson relationship. Although no details have been revealed, the above teaser video was released today, which Gibson’s Mark Agnesi shared, adding, “Welcome to the family Uncle Dave!”

Dave has played Flying V and Explorer-esque guitars for the entirety of his career, and generally the pointier type, so although Gibson proper makes both of those, it’s hard to imagine MegaDave playing those exclusively. However, Gibson also owns Kramer guitars, and Dave’s “cryptic writings” such as this tweet mention “Three Brands”, which could be Gibson, Epiphone, and Kramer.

Either way, it’s looking like we’ll get some more information tomorrow.
