This one hits hard. One of the greatest frontmen and singers to grace this planet has left us, former Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell, not two days after the 7th anniversary of the passing of another vocal legend, Ronnie James Dio.
Publicist Brian Bumbery released a statement confirming the worst to the Associated Press on Wednesday night. Cornell was on tour in Detroit at the time of his passing, and it has come as a complete shock to his fans, friends, and family.
The cause of death had yet to be revealed as of the time of this writing. He was 52.
