Caparison is bringing back their TAT and TAT II models! The Caparison TAT was one of the original models that helped define Caparison, and now they’re back in 2025. The Caparison TAT and TAT II models offer a 25.5″ scale, an Alder body with Schaller Tremolo S-FRT II bridge, 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck, and Ebony fingerboard with 24 frets.
Where the two models differ is their pickup configuration – the TAT offers a single coil Caparison SH-NC in the neck and bridge alongside a Caparison PH-Rm humbucker in the bridge, while the TAT II comes with a Caparison PH-Fm humbuker in the neck and Caparison PH-Rm in the bridge. The TAT’s electronics are controlled by a Schaller Megaswitch M 5-way lever switch, while the TAT II has a a Switchcraft 3 Way toggle.
The Caparison TAT and TAT II are available here for $4,199 in Interstellar Black, Frozen White and the 1980’s inspired Light Blue Pearl finishes.
