Baby Audio’s HyperWarp Turns Your Audio Into Glitchy Granular Chaos

Baby Audio is getting weird with time on its new HyperWarp plugin, a granular multi-effect designed to turn loops and stems into everything from rhythmic stutters and half-time effects to scratches, tape stops, and heavily mangled textures.

HyperWarp works by breaking incoming audio into microscopic grains and reassembling them according to a drawable graph. Users can create speed changes, reverses, stutters, and other rhythmic patterns through breakpoint and step-draw editing, with Length, Quantize, Amount, and Skew controls offering additional ways to manipulate the resulting sequence.

The plugin comes with seven different processing profiles: Clean Warp, Flange Warp, Degrade Warp, Filter Spam, Harmo-Nicer, Fauxcoder, and Lo-Fizzly. These cover everything from relatively clean time manipulation to lo-fi degradation, filtering, pitch-shifted harmonic effects, vocoder-style sounds, and digital downsampling.

Four macro controls for Modulation, Physics, Grain Size, and Stereo Width provide broader control over HyperWarp’s granular engine. Users can also manipulate individual grains through Pitch, Resolution, Scatter, and Feedback controls.

For quicker experimentation, HyperWarp includes Lock and Randomize functions alongside stepped and curved graph randomizers. A global Mix control and Band split filter provide further control over how the processed signal is blended with the original audio.

HyperWarp ships with 190 presets for anyone who’d rather immediately start destroying sounds than spend their afternoon drawing graphs.

Get the Baby Audio HyperWarp Granular Multi-effect Plugin on sale right here for $49, down from its usual $99.
