Arturia has expanded its popular MiniLab lineup with the MiniLab 37 – a compact MIDI controller that offers a longer keybed, expanded controls and deeper integration with modern music production workflows.

More Keys, More Possibilities

The headline feature is, unsurprisingly, the keyboard itself.

With 12 additional keys over the standard MiniLab design, the MiniLab 37 gives users more room for chord voicings, melodic ideas and layered performances without moving into the footprint of a larger 49-key controller.

The slim-key design helps keep the overall dimensions compact, while velocity sensitivity ensures expressive performances whether you’re controlling software synths, virtual pianos or drum instruments.

Built for Hands-On Music Creation

Beyond the keyboard, Arturia has equipped the MiniLab 37 with a collection of performance and production controls designed to keep users away from the mouse.

The controller features eight rotary encoders, four faders and eight RGB-backlit velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads arranged in a 2×4 layout. The pads can be used for finger drumming, clip launching and DAW shortcuts, while dedicated transport controls streamline recording and playback.

Additional creative tools include a built-in arpeggiator, Chord Mode, Hold function and transpose controls, making it easy to generate ideas quickly without diving into software menus.

Pitch bend and modulation duties are handled by capacitive touch strips, while a compact display and browser control provide visual feedback and navigation.

Software Bundle Packs Serious Value

Arturia continues its tradition of including a substantial software package with the MiniLab 37.

The controller ships with Analog Lab Intro, providing access to a large collection of synth, keyboard and instrument sounds derived from Arturia’s flagship software instruments. Also included are:

  • Ableton Live Lite
  • Native Instruments Komplete 15 Select
  • Loopcloud subscription and sample packs
  • Melodics learning software
  • MIDI Control Center software

The package gives new producers a complete starting point while providing experienced users with additional sounds and creative tools.

Connectivity and DAW Compatibility

The MiniLab 37 offers deep integration with Arturia’s software ecosystem but is equally comfortable controlling third-party platforms.

Custom scripts support major DAWs including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio and Bitwig Studio, while MCU and HUI compatibility ensure broad support across other recording environments. The controller is also fully NKS-compatible, allowing seamless integration with Native Instruments’ Komplete Kontrol ecosystem.

The MiniLab 37 connects via USB-C and can be used with computers and compatible iPads. A traditional 5-pin MIDI output allows direct control of hardware synthesizers and drum machines, while a dedicated control input supports sustain pedals, expression pedals or footswitches.

The unit is bus powered over USB, making it particularly convenient for mobile production setups.
