Sony has unveiled the IER-M500, a new set of professional in-ear monitors designed to provide performers with accurate stage monitoring, strong isolation, and a comfortable fit. It’s also $119.99, so that makes it pretty accessible.
Built specifically for live use, the IER-M500 features a lightweight design with flexible, coreless ear hangers that conform naturally to the shape of the ear. Sony says the design helps keep the monitors securely in place during performances without feeling rigid or restrictive, while compact cable clips provide additional stability on stage.
Each earpiece houses a 5mm dynamic driver inside a fully sealed enclosure with a large acoustic chamber. The design is intended to deliver powerful, controlled low-end response alongside detailed highs while offering excellent passive noise isolation in loud performance environments.
Durability was also a priority in the IER-M500’s design. Sony has equipped the monitors with reinforced connectors built to withstand repeated plugging and unplugging, making them suitable for frequent touring and rehearsal use.
The monitors are also Hi-Res Audio compatible, offering an extended frequency response capable of reproducing high-resolution audio sources.
The IER-M500 is available in three color options – Red and Blue, all White, and all Black – and ships with a selection of accessories to help users achieve the best fit. Get all of them here for $119.99 each.
