If you’re a Dream Theater fan, then you remember John Petrucci’s old signature Ibanez JPM100. The JPM100 was produced between 1995 and 1999, and most notably features the Picasso-esque artwork we all likely associate with burning through our copies of Rock Discipline. Sure, the JPM100 has been discontinued for years, but Tosin Abasi and his Abasi Concepts paid homage to the legendary signature model with a brand new iteration. Abasi shared some photos of the 2023 iteration below, which is giving us all some very serious envy.
Abasi Concepts said: “John Petrucci has always been a massive source of inspiration to us at Abasi Concepts, so we decided to pay homage to one of his iconic guitar finishes with this incredible one-off ēmi 8 (painted by the same artist who originally painted John’s guitar – Dan Lawrence) to commemorate Tosin Abasi and Animals As Leaders finishing the Dreamsonic Tour with Dream Theater and Devin Townsend.”
