Hollow World are Australia’s crown princes of Melodic Death Metal. In a relatively short period of time, they’ve come out of nowhere and established themselves as a dominant force in the live scene, shredding down venues all over the country.  The footage in this particular video was filmed live at ‘Max Watts’ Melbourne, when the dudes opened for the mighty Fleshgod Apocalypse.

This track is the latest single from Hollow World’s 2017 debut LP Exanimate. It is a goddamn banger of an album and I highly recommend it, especially if you’re a fan of The Black Dahlia Murder and In Flames.

And judging by the title of the song, “Patient Zero”, I’m gonna guess that it’s a recount of a particularly memorable full-band playthrough of ‘Pandemic: Legacy’. So I also recommend the album if you’re a fan of popular, cooperative, table-top board games.

dank. like, literally.

Also, I’m sure you noticed how friggen’ tight and crispy the production is on this track. Well that’s ‘cos the entire album was mixed and mastered by Ermin Hamidovic, from Systematic Productions. Who’s that, you say? You certainly know the dudes work, even if you don’t recognize the name. Ermz mastered Periphery’s Juggernaut and Select Difficulty, Animals As Leaders last album The Madness of Many and Devin Townsend Project’s Transcendence. The sonic quality on Exanimate makes it one of those albums that’s nearly worth the price for the production-level alone.

If you tapped your toes to this song, head over to the Hollow World bandcamp and pick up the full album.
