PAUL GILBERT Breaks Down His Huge Blues Scale From PAT TRAVERS And PAT THRALL (Via Sweetwater)

One of the world’s favorite guitarists, Paul Gilbert, recently stopped by Sweetwater to give some fantastic lessons, and this one is nothing short of fantastic! In this short but informative guitar lesson, Paul breaks down a bluesy, three-note-per-string scale pattern in A minor that was influenced by all the bluesy intervals that Pat Travers and Pat Thrall used on one of his favorite live albums Go For What You Know. The lick is fusiony, bluesy, and wonky in all the right ways, and who better to showcase it than Paul Gilbert himself. Check it out, and be sure to watch Sweetwater’s other lesson videos in this playlist here.
