MYRONE – Live Playthrough In A Moving Car!

The man known only as MYRONE is not only the hero of the genre known as softshred, he’s also the architect behind the music of the game Drift Stage (currently in development), a retro racing game that will out-neon your auntie’s leg warmers from 1991. To celebrate the release of the game’s soundtrack (grab it here to be the raddest dude on your block) we decided we needed to pull off a crazy driving stunt of our own, so we did some (not really) drifting down the Pacific Coast Highway in a borrowed convertible while Myrone deftly played through the track “Ski Resort 87” – in one complete take, with live audio recorded straight into his phone using IK Multimedia’s iRig HD 2.  What you see is what he played, and he did it on the first try.

If you enjoyed this song, the rest of the songs on the album are all just as good – so get it direct from him on Bandcamp or on iTunes if you prefer.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
