KIESEL GUITARS Gets Robbed of $40,000 Worth of Guitars

Well, this is incredibly shitty. Our friends at Kiesel/Carvin Guitars were robbed this weekend, and the thieves made off with over $40k of custom guitars (16 guitars total). In a way, they couldn’t have picked a worse target, as every single guitar is one-of-a-kind, with unique features and serial numbers, so they’re basically unsellable.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.

  • that,s real bad news ! i am thinking inside job ? sales not so good ? whats the motive to do such a crime ?? good luck on find them ..

    • I am curious myself as to how and why it happened. You may be right about the sales comment, extremely overpriced guitars makes for bad marketing.

      • Extremely overpriced guitars??? Are you nuts? Configure one to match any high quality guitar on the market and you’ll be paying 30-50% less money for a brilliantly crafted guitar to your specification. This comment is silly.
