SECRET FUN CLUB: Party With The Bulls To This Exclusive Track Premiere Of “PAT MINOTAUR”

With the upcoming release of their newest LP 101 about to drop on May 17th, 2019 via Three One G, Secret Fun Club are about to prove that they are indeed one of San Diego’s finest noise/experimental acts. Comprised of drummer Sal Gallegos and bassist John Rieder, the duo have been doing their thing in the way that only they for almost two decades. And now with a new LP on the way, it’s only fitting that they share a little sneak peek of the madness to come. Enjoy this track premiere of the last song on the album, entitled “Pat Minotaur”, only right here, on Gear Gods!

If you’re a fan of bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Azusa, and Pound, we have a feeling you’ll like what you’re about to hear. On the track “Pat Minotaur”, the duo throw all reason out the window and just let loose, which is exactly the kind of thing you’d want to hear, given that this is the final track on 101. With some amazing interplay between the bass and drums that ebbs and flows in and out of wacky unison lines and rhythms, Gallegos and Rieder stay tight as can be while simultaneously channeling some sort of unearthly, monstrous chaos that just hits you in the best possible way. It’s pretty remarkable what the two of them are able to do with just bass and drums, and this is an excellent example of a band carving out their own unique sound while retaining enough familiarity to be accessible.

Be sure to pre-order 101 via the Bandcamp link above, buy the new album 1here when it drops, and to follow Secret Fun Club on Facebook!
