Rob Scallon Jams Kendrick Lamar on 8 String Guitar

If you’ve ever pulled up to a stoplight next to a car that vibrates to the beat, you know that rap music is all about the bass. So it makes sense that if you were to play it on solo guitar, you would want one that has a lot of low range.

So when Rob Scallon decided to do just that, of course he used his 8-string Schecter. Is there anything this dude can’t do? I also love his taste in instruments – white is whassup.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.

  • Didn’t y’all just have Glen go ape shit on click theft? Y’all are doing the same damn thing. MS does it as well so I guess it’s all good so long as Trapt doesn’t do it.

    • You’re misunderstanding click theft. We’re embedding Rob’s video, so he gets the YouTube views. In the Trapt situation they ripped the video and then uploaded it to THEIR OWN YouTube channel.

      • I stand corrected. Well played sir.

  • I PRAY MY DICK GET BIG AS THE EIFFEL TOWER, SO I CAN FUCK THE WORLD FOR 72 HOURS. Damn Rob’s got chops/bitches!
