LORNA SHORE Arise From The Depths In This Exclusive Drum Playthrough For New Single “Darkest Spawn”

New Jersey-based death metal act Lorna Shore are known for their punishing, relentless sound, and have just released a brutal new single entitled “Darkest Spawn” via Outerloop Records! The band had previously released another single “This Is Hell” featuring their new vocalist CJ McCreery, and this new song is just as intense as the last. So, we’ve teamed up with drummer Austin Archey to bring you this exclusive drum playthrough for “Darkest Spawn”, only right here, on Gear Gods!

The first word that comes to mind to accurately describe this song is “trudging”, as the whole vibe of this track has this sorrowful, “apocalyptic march”-type feel that the band pulls off incredibly well. The production is tight and beefy, and every rock-solid hit from Austin is felt with so much conviction. Even as someone who doesn’t play drums, watching Austin smack the absolute shit out of his kit is a pretty cathartic experience. And on top of that, the amazingly shot and edited video was done by the talented Clinton Tustin, who managed to make what could have been an ordinary playthrough feel way more cinematic and intense. Nicely done, boys!

About the playthrough, here’s what Austin had to say:

“I’m happy to present this playthrough for ‘Darkest Spawn’ for you all. A lot of time and effort was put into making this come to life. I can’t thank my team enough for helping me make this happen; Clint Tustin, Cody Stewart, Stephen Nowak, Michael Pollaro and Landmine Studios in NJ. Also, shoutout to my sponsors who’s gear is listed below and showcased for you all in this video. Everything you are hearing is live audio, so let’s just appreciate how AMAZING this drum setup is sounding! Thanks for watching!“
