How To Make Killer Sounding Demos, Start To Finish – ASK A PRODUCER

In this video, I show you how I go about making my demos for songs that I write – guitars, bass, vocals, and keyboard. The idea is to get the ideas down as fast as you can so you don’t lose the flow state. Anything that impedes your workflow is an inspiration killer, so you want to just keep it simple.

But, if you don’t have good sounds at your immediate disposal, you can get really distracted by bad tones and it will slow you way down. Because of this I also show you the Toontrack plugins I’m using to get easy great tones right off the bat.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
