Schecter has given its shred-ready C-1 a striking new look with the C-1 Hydro Dip, pairing the model’s familiar high-output performance with a swirling, marbled finish typically reserved for the brand’s Custom Shop and Signature Artist builds. The guitar is available in three distinct colorways: Midnight Tide, Purple Obsidian, and Golden Eclipse.
At its core, the C-1 Hydro Dip retains the double-cut silhouette the model is known for, built on a solid Mahogany body with back contouring for comfort during long sets. It’s paired with a bolt-on Hard Rock Maple neck, satin-finished and shaved to a Thin C profile for fast playability. The fingerboard is Richlite, flattened to a 14″ radius and fitted with 24 jumbo frets across a 25.5″ scale length.
Electronics come from a pair of Schecter Radio Active humbuckers, blacked-out, high-output active pickups designed to cover everything from classic thrash and hard rock to nu-metal, metalcore, and progressive styles. They’re controlled by master Volume and Tone knobs for straightforward tonal shaping.
The standout feature, though, is the finish itself. Each Hydro Dip guitar carries a clear-gloss, marbled pattern across the top, back, and headstock, making every unit essentially one of a kind. The fingerboard is dressed up with Offset Ring inlays, including a special Hydro inlay at the 12th fret, while a satin black finish covers the back of the neck and all hardware — including sealed-back 18:1 tuners and a TOM-style bridge with string-thru design for tuning stability and sustain.
