THE WEEKLY RIFF – THE SWORD Guitarist Kyle Shutt Breaks Down “Deadly Nightshade”

On our latest installment of The Weekly Riff, guitarist Kyle Shutt of the kickass Austin-based heavy metal band The Sword took us backstage to show us the main riff of the song “Deadly Nightshade” off the band’s latest record Used Future. The track is a straight-up banger, and while the riffs may seem simple, they’re chock-full of feel and groove, which is what The Sword is all about. Grab the nearest guitar and get noodlin’!

On top of these sexy widdly-bops (yeah I know what I said), the band also has a brand new video game-inspired music video for the title track of the album, which you can check out here. To catch ’em on tour right now, be sure to hit up their website for the latest dates and details.
