Want to Know Which Guitars Phil Demmel Used on the New Machine Head Record?

These Machine Head in-studio videos are still going strong. This week the band takes a look at the lead guitar tracking process with Phil Demmel, who owns a goddamn motherload of  pointy guitars. He has straight Vs, jagged Vs, Vs with missing Floyd Rose Springs, metric Vs, V8, V the miniseries, a whole bunch of shit. There’s also a series of pedals on display, but they’re not shaped like Vs so I don’t know why you’d give a shit.

Nice Boondock Saints illustration on the back of that one axe though.

Machine Head’s new record, Bloodstone and Diamonds, will be released November 10th. It’s the band’s first release on Nuclear Blast records.

Chris Alfano has written about music and toured in bands since print magazines and mp3.com were popular. Once in high-school he hacked a friend's QBasic stick figure fighting game to add a chiptune metal soundtrack. Random attractive people still give him high-fives about that.
