Sign Up Now For Periphery’s CreativeLive Recording Class

I don’t think I need to sing the praises of CreativeLive anymore than we already have, but in case you’ve been living under a rock, they offer some of the best online courses in the arts that are out there. They’ve done great work in the metal world in particular – including two classes that we presented, one of which was taught by Kurt Ballou – and are continuing that trend this month with a mixing masterclass to be taught by producer Joey Sturgis. Their director of music and audio, Finn McKenty, also has one of the best podcasts about metal and punk going today.

So they’re doing cool stuff, basically, and not slowing down. On August 26 and 27, Matt Halpern and Adam “Nolly” Getgood from probably your favorite band Periphery will be teaching the next installment of Studio Pass. They’ll take you through the fundamentals and secrets of recording, from drum tracking to mixing, and will discuss techniques they used in the making of new album Juggernaut.

Oh, and it’ll be free to stream, as per norm with CreativeLive. RSVP here and right now.
