Scale the Summit (of the bass neck) With Mark Michell

If you’re a bass player reading this website, I’m going to assume that you like prog, in which case you also like Scale the Summit. So for those people, in case you’ve been living under a rock, Scale the Summit’s bassist Mark Michell has his own instructional music website, Low End University, that you’re probably going to want to register for. It’s basically a one-stop-shop for bassists to improve their chops and learn from the horse’s mouth, as opposed to any one of the thousands of anonymous Internet music teachers.

Mark’s got a new lesson that you can check out, which highlights moving around the fretboard by “string skipping” with open strings. It’s pretty cool stuff! Peep it below and get more details about Low End University here.
