Guitarist ROBERT BAKER Talks Signature ACACIA Romulus Heritage

Robert Baker, YouTuber and guitarist extraordinaire, took some time to dish on the deets of his new signature axe from Acacia Guitars (which you may have seen in Gear Gods’s NAMM 2017 coverage of the Acacia booth). It’s a really nifty guitar that originated as about organically as possible.

Basically, while Robert was speccing out a custom Acacia for himself, he was inadvertently designing a signature model in the process. God, I wish it was that easy for us normies. Then again, signatures wouldn’t be nearly as special then, would they?

The Romulus Heritage RBS features everything Mr. Baker looks for in a guitar, including custom-calibrated Seymour Duncans in the neck and middle positions, and a Duncan JB Jr. in the bridge. It’s also got a deep cutaway at the neck joint for the “S-type” player that also likes to rip in the upper registers.

Functional specs aside, he’s a firm believe in the notion that we “play a guitar with our eyes first.” Needless to say, then, the guitar is sexy. Quilted maple top in a gorgeous blue finish, pearloid pickguard, and a birdseye maple board. Does that do anything for ya?
