OBSCURA’s “Perpetual Infinity” Is Total Progressive Guitar Insanity

Perennial Gear Gods favorites Obscura released their newest progressive genre-smasher Akróasis this past February on Relapse. Filled with lush and full open chords, blazing harmonies, funky fusion bass, and ridiculous dissonant shredding, this album is basically a must-have for our readers.

We’re proud to premiere a guitar playthrough for “Perpetual Infinity” by the band’s newest member, Rafael Trujillo. It’s an incredible song by a truly impressive performer – moving between epic acoustics, atmospheric chord progressions, and crushing heaviness.
