A LIGHT DIVIDED Shoot For The Stars In This Exclusive Drum Playthrough For “Fear Of Heights”

Rock and metal outfit A Light Divided might be one of the catchiest heavy bands we’ve heard here in a while. The Winston-Salem-based group have been gearing up for the release of their forthcoming album Choose Your Own Adventure, which drops October 5th, 2018, and in anticipation of this new quest, they’ve dropped the first single from the album entitled “Fear of Heights”. If you haven’t heard it, stop what you are doing and watch the video below. It’s a banger in the truest sense, with soaring vocals (courtesy of singer Jaycee Clark), the catchiest of catchy hooks, and enough ballsy guitar and drum work to keep things heavy. But wait, there’s more! The band has just dropped a playthrough of the song, featuring drummer Adam Smith behind the kit. Watch and dance your booty off, only right here, on Gear Gods!

If there’s one thing evident in the playthrough, it’s that Adam is doing exactly what the song calls for at exactly the right moments. The dude keeps a steady, powerful rhythm behind the dance-like heartbeat of the song, and throws in the occasional impressive drum fill, just to add a little spice. It’s groovy, tight, and hits all the right notes to keep things satisfying right up until the very end, and we absolutely can’t wait to hear more of it.

And for all you gearheads out there (welcome to Gear Gods, by the way), the equipment Adam is using here is as follows:
