Weekend Kickoff Playthrough: Monuments Guitarist John Browne Tears Through “Jinn (Leech)”

That’s it guys and gals. It’s been a hell of a week: international strife, not one but two drummers fallen ill,  and I’m sure you worked like a dog. You know, not an average dog, but one that you’re not allowed to pet because it’s “on duty.”

I like to kick off the week’s end with a bangin’ playthrough, something that puts you in the mood to play your instrument instead of napping on the couch and watching cartoons until Monday. In fact, I might make this a regular thing at the end of each Friday. In any event, this week let’s enjoy Monuments’ 7-string tapmaster John Browne, performing an instrumental version of his band’s tune “Jinn (Leech).”

Now go play some music. See you next week.

Chris Alfano has written about music and toured in bands since print magazines and mp3.com were popular. Once in high-school he hacked a friend's QBasic stick figure fighting game to add a chiptune metal soundtrack. Random attractive people still give him high-fives about that.
