THE HAUNTED: Get in the Autumn Spirit With This Guitar and Bass Playthrough of “The Fall”

Founded in 1996 by bassist Jonas Björler, guitarist Jensen, and drummer Adrian Erlandsson, The Haunted have been tearing it up in the Swedish metal scene for over two decades. Joined by guitarist (and part-time Viking) Ola Englund for their latest record Strength in Numbers, the band has been turning out some serious thrashy, shreddy goodness in recent months. Helping to illustrate that point, they’ve just released this playthrough for the song “The Fall”, which features Ola and Jonas giving it their all. Warning: the riffs are strong with this one.

While you can definitely hear Ola’s influence on the new material, it still retains plenty of the vibes that got The Haunted started. The track’s got a great mix of old school and modern metal sounds, and Ola and Jonas do a great job of tying it all together.

You can find digital versions of Strength in Numbers on the band’s merch page, as well as physical copies here. The dudes are currently finishing up some tour dates in Finland before being set to play in Japan come late-January, so check out tickets and dates here if you’re lucky enough to be on that side of the world.
