Let’s set the record straight: playing the music of Obscura is no small feat. The prog powerhouses are known for fusing their melodic death metal influence with some of the most technically demanding riffs out there. So who dares attempt to perform such music? Lead guitarist Rafael Trujillo, that’s who. And to prove it, he’s teamed up with Kiesel Guitars to bring us this playthrough of the song “Akroasis” from the band’s 2016 album of the same name. For this particular playthrough, all the guitar parts were recorded by Rafael on his Kiesel Osiris O7X, and maaaaan does he nail it. You’ll just have to see for yourself.
