Exclusive Playthrough: Deeds Of Flesh’s “Rise of the Virvum Juggernaut” by Guitarist Craig Peters

It’s Tuesday, which is like Monday if you slept for a really long time, so it’s time to get the blood pumping back into the lifeless corpse you call a body. Fortunately we have several minutes of shredding from Deeds of Flesh‘s Craig Peters, to put the “I am” back in “shambling.”

Okay, I really don’t know what that means, but when you’re tearing into a song at 27,000 bpm you have no time to look back. So here’s Craig playing “Rise of the Virvum Juggernaut” off of DoF’s 2013 album Portals to Canaan. Even if you can’t get into the song, you have to appreciate that Creature from the Black Lagoon jack-o-lantern in the background?

Or is it just a “carved pumpkin” and not a jack-o-lantern if there’s no holes and a candle inside. I’ll have to send an email to pumpkingods.net for clarification. Check back later for breaking news as it develops…

Chris Alfano has written about music and toured in bands since print magazines and mp3.com were popular. Once in high-school he hacked a friend's QBasic stick figure fighting game to add a chiptune metal soundtrack. Random attractive people still give him high-fives about that.
