You guys have been wondering what Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover would get up to after Megadeth, right? In case you’ve been hiding under a rock (or don’t pay attention to modern Megadeth like me) they formed this band Act of Defiance, which put out Birth and the Burial via Metal Blade last August. I’m digging into this thing now and it’s pretty sweet – take the good riffs from the last few Megadeth albums, add a more punk-y vocalist, and wham. Winning formula.

Can’t believe this is not overdub… Only Broderick can do this, oh god… Can’t wait for the Playthrough on Obey the Fallen and Dead Stare, awesome solos!! Keep up the shredding man, great fucking album! If all the metal community had the good attitude Broderick has instead of being scumbags and elitists we would have a lot more great bands and songs to listen to.
