BARING TEETH Get Positively Brutal On This Guitar Playthrough Of “Transitive Savagery”

Dallas-based death metal band Baring Teeth are back again with a vengeance! You may have seen this guitar playthrough for their track “The Quiescent Mass” featuring guitarist Andrew Hawkins, and now he’s here with a new playthrough for the band’s title track from their new album Transitive Savagery (via Translation Loss Records). If you’ve seen the first one, you know exactly what you’re in for, and if not, get ready to open up

Full of dissonant chords, relentless tremolo picking sections, and a healthy dose of finger-twisting riffage, this song found its way into my heart within the first 10 seconds, and I’m sure it’ll do the same for you. There’s a saying about capturing a certain “mood” when it comes to composing a song, and Hawkins has indeed done that here with his playing; in this case, it’s one of absolute dread and doom — delightful!

Be sure to listen to Transitive Savagery on the band’s website and Bandcamp.
