Lace Pickups had big news out the wazoo this year at NAMM, which isn’t something I usually expect from a pickup company. As an Alumitone player myself, the Deceptor’s Alumitone guts but more traditional finish is appealing in a way, but I kind of love the sci-fi look of the Alumitone line, especially when counter-balanced by a natural wood finish.
But a solder-free pickup system? Hell yes. Maybe my stupid fingers could change my own pickups now. Check out these new developments along with the Big Block, Steel King, and more in the video below.
