Trey Interviewed DRAGONFORCE’s Herman Li In A Moving Racecar

In the immortal of words Vince Neil and the Crüe, “When I get high / I get high on speed.” Such poetry seems to have deeply resonated with Dragonforce’s Herman Li, who lives life at a blistering pace. Here I spent all these years assuming his speed-freakiness was channeled solely into his breakneck guitar playing. Boy, was I wrong.

Trey got to witness firsthand – on a personal journey “Through the Fire and Flames,” you could say – that Li’s enthusiasm for supersonic music is matched only by his passion for fast-as-shit cars. On a racetrack here at California’s Willow Springs (known for making an appearance in Playstation 3’s Gran Turismo 6), Trey hopped in the passenger seat of Li’s Porsche Carrera 911 and did his best impression of a man not shitting his pants.

Between terrified shouts, the two had a chance to chat about Dragonforce’s new album, Reaching into Infinity, which you can check out here. You can also check out the MetalSucks feature for more!
