Pomegranate Tiger’s “Cyclic” Is Multi-Instrumental Pornography

I am just getting hip to Pomegranate Tiger, a Canadian one-man-band project for which the guitars and drums were recorded by a dude named Martin Andres. I’ll admit I was skeptical, and am still not completely won over, but there’s some cool musical ideas going on in this when it’s not veering too much into Meshuggahcore territory.

Bet you guys are gonna enjoy this drum playthrough for the track “Cyclic,” though. Andres is definitely a really talented guy, although I think his real talent may lie on the guitar – he’s confident in all of the parts and fills, but the playing feels a bit tense.

Pomegranate Tiger’s album Boundless comes out on December 11th. Pre-order it here.
