FLUFF Demos Dialtone Pickups

Dialtone Pickups are a pretty radical pickup design. It incorporates two knobs on the face of each pickup – one determines the resonant frequency of the peak and the other controls the amount of boost you give it. All pickups have a resonant frequency of some kind – it’s a huge part of what gives each pickup it’s character. There are other factors, but that one is huge.

This allows you to give a bit of a shape to your guitar’s sound before the signal even leaves the jack, and to change that shape at will. The knobs have tiny hex screws that you can use to lock them in place once you’ve found that magic tone so you don’t knock them around while in the throes of your playing passion.

Fluff is actually helping them to “dial” in the newest version of the pickup, and has also shot this demo to show a bit of what they can do.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
