First off I would like to say I really enjoy the work Gear Gods does. Second, how should I start acquiring recording equipment? Just looking to get something going so I can record at home and do the one man band thing. Thank you!!

Look into getting yourself an audio interface, say something like a focusrite 2i4 (doesnt have to be this one, was just using it for reference) and a mic. An Sm57 makes a good first mic because it is great for so many things.
